Childhood. The first roles
Jude was born December 29, 1972, in Lewisham, a southeastern borough of London. His parents are Margaret Ann Hayworth, an English teacher, and Peter Robert Law, a primary school teacher. His sister Natasha, a photographer and graphic designer, is three years older.





Career jump up
In 1996, Jude appeared in the melodrama "I Love You, I Love You Not" and later in the drama "Bent." A year later, the actor appeared in the biopic "Wilde" about the creative work and personal life of Oscar Wilde. The Evening Standard called Law's work the best debut of the year.

While all three films flopped at the box office, critics praised Jude Law's performance. He was described as "a charming young man with natural magnetism and striking good looks."






Divorce and career crisis
